On September 12, 2011 at the beautiful coastal city of São Paulo, Brazil more than 80 beautiful ladies from all around the world will gather to vie for the most coveted Miss Universe 2011 title. Last year, 83 gorgeous ladies from different continents of the world gathered in the exciting city of Las Vegas, USA to get a shot at the Miss Universe 2011 crown. At the end of the competition, the beautiful and charming beauty from Mexico, Xemina Navarrete was hailed as the most beautiful woman in the universe.
Who will be Ximena Navarrete’s successor of the most elusive Miss Universe crown? Literally, thousands of young and beautiful ladies from all over the world tried their luck to give a shot in the most prestigious beauty pageant in the universe but only a very few got what it takes to make it on the final round of the competition.

Miss Universe 2002 Pageant held in San Juan, Puerto Rico ended recognizing the country Russia as the 2002 winner. Oxana Fedorova consistently won both the swimsuit and evening gown categories by a large gap over the scores of the other nine semi-finalists.
Fedorova as Miss Universe 2002 was given a lot of honors and gifts. The well-known designer Helen Yarmark dedicated her best Russian doll to the Russian winner. After four months of baring the crown and the title trusted upon her hands, Controversies aroused for Fedorova’s loyalty and performance upon her responsibilities.
Marriage and pregnancy clings on tabloids and newspapers about her. According to reports in the US media, there were rumblings within the Miss Universe Organization that Fedorova, who had put on some weight since winning the title, was pregnant and secretly married to her Russian boyfriend (Nikolay Baskov). And this action is obviously opposed to the rules and regulation of Miss Universe Pageant.
September 25, 2002 when Miss Universe Organization for their very first time announced an official dethronement on Miss Oxana Fedorova of Russia which means Miss Panama, Justine Pasek will take her place. Right after this shocking dethronement, Fedorova denied the pregnancy rumors and stated that she voluntarily gave up her crown for personal reasons, mainly because she wanted to finish her law degree.
Officially, she was dethroned for failing to perform the numerous duties expected of a Miss Universe titleholder. At the time she stated in an interview that she had declined to perform her duties because she was so insulted by her treatment on The Howard Stern Show. She blamed the pageant organizers for not warning her of the frequently profane Stern commentary, of which she, as a foreigner, had no prior knowledge. The crown was passed on to Panama’s Justine Pasek, the first runner-up, who consequently became her country’s first Miss Universe.
Although Miss Universe Organization refuses to claim Fedorova as a former Miss Universe winner, she is generally recognized by the public. Oxana Fedorova is actually one of the highest scorers that ever received in the whole Miss Universe History.
The interview with Mr. Donald Trump about this:
“We worked hard with Oxana,” Trump said. “But a lot of these events are for charity and you just have to be there. She wasn’t able to be there, so we had no choice but to terminate.”
Trump also revealed that Fedorova had been given the chance to resign “for the purposes of getting this done nicely” but had refused, although she did “graciously” return her tiara following the termination of her contract. While repeatedly insisting that Fedorova was a “very nice person”, Trump hinted at the frustration engendered by her refusal to travel around the globe attending functions.
“Was she homesick? Well, she certainly enjoyed being in Russia,” he said, adding quickly that he had “great respect” for Russia as a country.
“We have found no basis in fact as to those allegations. So we don’t think so,” Trump said for the record.
Pasek confessed that she had not got to know Fedorova well because of the “language barrier.” Unlike the Russian, Pasek speaks fluent English, as well as her native Spanish.
“I don’t really have that much to say about her … but I’m very happy to be taking over this job,” said Pasek, who will keep the title for the next eight months.
